Keep your tires properly inflated. The label on the driver's door jamb tells you the correct pressure to use. The tire also has a maximum air pressure for the tire molded into the tire sidewall. It is not recommended to inflate a tire to its maximum rating.
Check inflation pressure at least monthly. This can be done yourself with a tire gauge or at a tire or auto repair shop. It is best to check tire air pressures when the tire is cold. Tire air pressure changes as the temperature of the tire changes.
Having the correct tire pressure has a big impact on your gas mileage (MPG).
Over inflated tires will give you a bouncy ride and cause car handling problems. Under inflated tires will cause excess wear on the tires outer edges as well as decrease gas mileage.
Stop by Country Tire & Auto and we will check your tires for free and inflate them to the correct pressure.
